Course Information
Originally one of the oldest golf courses in Southern England, golf has been played at
Billingbear Park since the late nineteenth century. The land was then farmed during the
two world wars before being rebuilt as a golf course in 1989.
Since then a new nine hole course has been added, so that there are now two, nine hole
golf courses on this medieval site.
The Old Course consists of one par 5, five par fours and three par three holes. The new
course is a fascinating and scenic par three course where two lakes create delightful
water hazards (optional) and the views are stunning.
At Billingbear, we work hard to maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere both in the
quaint portacabin (clubhouse) and on the
courses. "Golf for All" is the motto here. Beginners are welcome to hire a half
set of clubs for £5 and have a go on the New Course (£7 weekdays, £8 weekends.) More
experienced golfers are welcome to book a tee time on the Old Course.
Both courses are open seven days a week. Billingbear Park is
easily reached from Wokingham, Bracknell, Binfield and the A329M.
Many golfers enjoy playing both courses creating a varied, fun eighteen holes.
